Favorite Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Piece

I keep changing my favorite Mozart compositions. I belong to the MozartForum, and have been apart of great topical threads that deal with every aspect of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s life and music. One particular thread is titled, “What does Mozart’s music mean to us?“, and in that thread I tried to detail the reasons why I find Mozart’s music to be some of the most beautiful sounds I have ever heard.

Other members of that forum have all contributed to the topic, and if you have a bit of time, I suggest you head over there and read up. That forum has just about every thing you’ll need as a Mozart fan.

Anyway, back to the reason for my post. I had several favorite pieces, but – at least for today – my favorite Mozart composition is, “Serenade “Gran Partita” – 3rd Movement”. My recording of that piece is by The Linos Ensemble.

What’s your favorite Mozart piece?

In honor of Mozart’s beloved pet starling, here is my rescued pet starling, Poppy, whistling ‘Eine Kleine Natchmusik’!
Poppy was rescued at an airport by a flight attendant. He can talk, whistle songs and has his own website: poppythebird.con
He is a joy and adorable. I can understand how Mozart cared so much for his little, feathered pet. They are incredibly musical and even whistle more than one song at a time!
